With the full knowledge that this is probably going to receive a bit of flak from some people, I figure that you guys have helped me a lot with my template development and it's only fair that I show you guys what it was being used for.

This is a template for the new My Little Pony collectible card game that was released by Enterplay last December. It has capabilities for creating all six core card types. It also has functional exporters for OCTGN, LackeyCCG, and Tabletop Simulator (although Tabletop Simulator is a bit of a cheat - basically just exports all the card images with instructions on where to take it from there).

Also, I noticed that some of you were talking about how it would be nice for the OCTGN exporters to be able to generate their own GUIDs based on card data. Well, that code is in here too. And it generates proper Name-Based GUIDs from string input, not just random assortments of hexadecimal characters. So if people wanted to port that over to brine's MtG OCTGN exporter, that code is here and is self-contained.

I'm just looking for some honest feedback, since this is the first template I've ever made. For starters, I'd like to know if the installer even works. There was very little documentation that I could find on how to make an installer, so I used one of Pichoro's MtG template installers as reference. But it's hard to know if I got it right when I 'm installing them to the same computer I've been using to run this template for weeks.

Here's a short preview of the cards made with the template:

** Mane Character

Spoiler:

** Friend

Spoiler:

** Event

Spoiler:

** Resource

Spoiler:

** Troublemaker

Spoiler:

** Problem

Spoiler:

(I had to rotate this manually, since it doesn't seem like MSE has the capability to perform rotations only to specific cards.)

OMG PWNIES!!!
And with that out of the way, thank you very much for this!

I find the way you set it up interesting. Is there any particular reason you decided to have card types change templates in the card editor window instead of the template window.

Let's see what your insides look like!

Oh hey, people did actually reply. Sorry for the long disappearance, I had kind of figured that though I felt obliged to post this template, I didn't think that many if any people on this particular forum would actually care. I'm happy to have been proven wrong. A happy smile

@derf2324 I thought about having each card be a separate style, but I guessed that doing it in such a way would make it fairly difficult for the rapid creation of cards. I figured that picking the card type via a menu on the card editor over the card type icon would be faster and more intuitive than having to go over to the style tab. That said, it was quite the mental exercise trying to figure out how to pull it off. Stick out your tongue
