At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Christmas Stocking. If you do reveal the top card of your library. If the revealed card is a creature card, exile it and you lose life equal to its power. Otherwise put it in your hand.
It is better to give than receive.

Snow Creature - Beast
Super Snow (As an additional cost to cast this card, put it in the freezer for 5 minutes, without waiting or stalling. When the 5 minutes is up, you may cast it without paying its mana cost and as though it had flash.)

When it's the 25th of December, sacrifice Dragonstocking. If you do, search target Christmas stocking for a Dragon card. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost.

Ruling:
- its second ability triggers if you set every clock in the room to the 25th of December and you are wearing winter clothing, but only if you hold a Cheatyface in your hand while searching the stocking. [ElmdorMesdoram 2010/12/21]

Yeah sorry I didn't see the card art thing. I choose the one with the polar bear I guess. There is just something about the awkwardness between the Santa and the Bear, like two neighbors who both 'borrowed' something and 'forgot' to give it back.

Oh, and in case anybody was wondering if the contest is seeing many views or if the cards on the front page were actually being viewed... according to my Photobucket account, each of the cards on the Welcome page were viewed on average 640 times each. So yeah. There you go. That's just for one day, for one "small" forum.

For future reference... don't post a render alone. I have to rerender it anyways since it doesn't feature artist, copyright, the correct rarity symbol, watermark, or the "CotW" stamp... As an aside, I drummed up a little something to use for my "I made this for a forum game" set. If anyone's interested, I can put the .mse-symbol file up on Pifro.

Pichoro's handy rarity symbol style was instrumental in making this.

Maybe it could even be used for the site? It's been bothering me, now, how the color for the mythic symbol I made is off when compared to the MSE-rendered symbols. Compare and !

I dunno. I've just been tootin' around. I was thinking maybe it could be used for the winning renders, but really I've been wanting to make an M10-style symbol for a while.

Each player puts their name into a hat, then chooses an opponent's name at random. Each player searches the chosen opponent's library and puts a permanent card from that library into play under their control. Shuffle all libraries.

Since I'm a nice guy, and it is Christmas, I'm going to give everyone one chance to change the rarity of their card. Any entry not featuring a rarity was given the rarity by default. Also, I'm going to ask pantherpage to read the rule he ignored about the card art inclusion. I don't like repeating myself, and in the future I won't. If you don't contact or email me with the info as to what art you used your entry will be disqualified.

This brings me to my next point, pay attention to how your individual entries look in the spoilers above. With the exception of the art links, this is how I would like submissions to look in the future. It would save me a lot of time as we have a lot of entries if I could just open up your post, take the bbcode you typed, and copy it over. What you see above took me about an hour to arrange... I just ask that everybody keeps this in mind, or I may have to institute a rule that improperly formatted entries will automatically be disqualified (this means you must include rarity, creature type, etc. and in the case of art contests, the art chosen.) I'd also like to remind everybody that when you post a card, that entry is your final entry, so think it out, take your time, and don't try to submit something else or tell me "I'll get back to it" later. Finally, please do not submit entries without a text version. I don't care how nice you think you're render looks, I still have to rerender it, and I still have to type it out for the poll. Thanks for reading this, and I'm really trying not to be nasty here, just asking for some help.
