In the West, the word ninja became more prevalent than shinobi in the post-World War II culture, possibly because it was more comfortable for Western speakers. In English, the plural of ninja can be either unchanged as ninja, reflecting the Japanese language's lack of grammatical number, or the regular English plural ninjas.

Proof.

I'm actually looking for critique on the cards, not on the themes.

Well, I'd hate to see what happens when someone uses Healing Pact with a sanguine bond, and Extensive Research is basically a 1 mana symbol less cost version of Jace's Ingenuity.
I'm also rather uncertain as to the signature mechanics of the set, as Squadrons and Infinex levels seem a little over-complicated. To represent actions of groups you could make a simplified version of Banding or group buffing abilities for your leaders.
You may also want to work on the story a bit more in-depth before deciding on themes for the set and the mechanics. In my own set, I found certain mechanics being used with different factions than originally planned. Story gives life and depth to a set, and should not be undervalued. Ask yourself what does each faction want? What are its goals and methods? Do its desires overlap with any others? and if so should they share a common theme mechanically to represent their partnership?

Hmm. Don't know what to say about Sanguine Bond. This was meant as a life-saver sort of thing. Changed it around a bit:

Healing Pact is white.
Your life total becomes 25.
At the beginning of your next turn, you lose 15 life. You may pay WW on your next upkeep. If you don’t, you lose the game.

I guess this is better.

#2. No, extensive research isn't that good. #1, its a sorcery, and Jace's Ingenuity is an instant. #2, its just a Concentrate with a bit of extra bonus on top. Nobody has EVER complained that Concentrate was overpowered.

#3. There are no factions. The colors have just divided into groups, and are fighting in wars because

Spoiler:
it's fun. And they're bored.

Not quite. The plural of ninja...is death. A happy smile

@bobomaster-I like flavor, so I do hope the set gets a little more story before it's done.

A question: Is commander just a modified form of banding?

As for critiques:
Healing Pact- It seems like it should be at least put at uncommon, but that's just me. Essentially it works well as a 2 mana symbolWhite mana symbol gain 10 life spell.

Fractured Dark Infinix-Dark counters...are they going to show up elsewhere? I've personally never liked specialty counters for one card unless it fit the flavor and couldn't be done with another type of counter. It seems to me that Infinix counters could be used there as well.

Hyperox, the Heart of Infinix-the name alone suggests it should play an important role in the story. Thus, I think it should be Mythic (I've always thought of Mythic as a flavor rarity in a lot of cases) and maybe even Legendary...I mean there's only one "heart" of a world right?

That's what I have, hopefully this helps with some ideas, and if you don't agree with me on any of these points, that's OK. It's your set after all. Good luck with it A happy smile

No, Commander is a way for creatures to be "trained".
I've changed Fractured Infinixes to use Infinix counters.
Healing Pact: I've already changed it, read the post before yours
Hyperox: Made it legendary and mythic

(The only reason i made it not mythic was because there was too many mythics (or as i thought))

HAS ANYONE LOL'D AT COMMON DRAKE YET?

Spoiler:
Enraged has been errata'ed to this: Activate one of this creature’s abilities without paying its costs. This creature loses this ability, and destroy this creature at the end of turn.
So it wouldn't be activated again and again and again.

Infinix Boost now only can target nonleader creatures, to prevent Leaders with squadrons joining other leader's squadrons.

Morality is too weird for a common, and the name doesn't really fit. Also, you might sacrifice it instead of destroying it. Would work better for a lot of reasons.

Enraged is a good idea for a mechanic, but you ought to rename it Enrage, since it's an activated ability, not some passive attribute like flying. It's the same reason flying isn't called fly.

Goblin Thief is extremely powerful in red, it color leaks a good deal, and in general doesn't fit a common slot.

Also, while Might of Nature and Harmony might work interestingly, avatars aren't small creepers. An avatar is a godly incantation. They're not 0/1s.

Also, to be blunt, the infinix enchantments seem boring. :/

The Figment

I saw a mistake on Infinix Boost - Reinforce is an ability that's activated from the hand, and thus giving it to a creature on the battlefield won't do much.

Yes. The enchantments are meant to be boring. They are just ways to generate more counters. And they're used in a special surprise...
Enraged renamed.
Morality renamed to uprightness and changed so it sacs. (IT THAT BETRAYS FTW!)
Anyway, I changed up Goblin Thief quite a bit:

Goblin Thief 2RR
Creature - Goblin Rogue Blue mana symbol

Might of Nature and Harmony changed into creating Spirit tokens.

WHOOPS. I had originally calling Support reinforce, but then I found out that was already a keyword and so I changed the name of it. Apparently, I didn't change every card with it.
