Flavour, the boring bit:

Spoiler:
Vriok is the plane. In it, the big bad Gelroann are terrorising things. The people of Rivaal are using decisive maneuvers to defeat this threat. Meanwhile, a worse threat broods. The mages in the Evertower have secretly been working on a powerful summoning spell, and it's nearing fruition.

Bad?

Vriok is a relatively black and blue plane, colourwise, not been beaten up. The Gelroann are a group of evil creatures many of them former bugs, based as black/red, although they're hometown (if you can call it that), Idsion, is black/green, due to the large insect populations that have mutated. Rivaal is a military city, blue/white, but mostly white. The people in Evermant, another unthreatened city, are forming a resistance in case the Gelroann turn their attention away from Rivaal. Evermant is blue/red, much magic happening there. The Evertower is the place where dark magics occur, so it is of course blue/black.
The positions indicate, well, positions. The people have to move around, that seems kinda normal. The Gelroann just try to destroy whatever they're standing on - more indirect approach, trying to kill 'em all, rather than deal with one at a time.

Leader of the Gelroann:

Sacrament is awesome, and can be put on Auras as an alternative to Totem armor.

I like all the mechanics your using and look forword to seeing the set, but I think twin cast should be one word. It would look better that way.

Perhaps, but I didn't want to feel like I was copying the card, Twincast. But then again, I guess I am copying the card...

Either way it will look like your copying twincast.

I really like your new keywords. And those cards are hella awesome to. My only problem though is with that Idsion Hiver card. It seems unbalanced. If attacks for 4 and grants 1 poison counter? As far as I can tell, in the history of magic, poisonous creatures never have high p/t ratings because the poison is almost like 2 points of pseudo-damage anyway. But, other people might think this is okay. I'm usually wrong when I judge other people's cards, so don't take anything I say to seriously.

Ralphieboy13 is right. The poison ability on Idsion Hiver is practically irrelevant due to the high power. It'll kill by damage must faster than poison. To make poisonous really work, the creature needs less than 2 power for every poison counter they give per attack. Or, you need to take an alternate route and have the poison counter dealt by other means than combat damage - Pit Scorpion or Swamp Mosquito. Pit Scorpion may seem to be the same as Poisonous, but it isn't quite, as Pit Scorpion works with direct damage effects, such as Viridian Longbow.

No, that makes sense to me. Although, if blocked or blocking, low power and toughness don't help. It's sort of a powerhouse that has an added bonus. The added bonus will only come in use against life-gainers though.

Yeah, but life gain already sucks. I mean, typically with Life Gain, it is not a method of winning - it's just a way to put off losing. And that's the problem with it really.

The problem is that "added bonus" adds to the cost of the card and makes the design feel more disjointed.

1/5 instead. And moved it to uncommon instead of rare. Thanks for that. The poisonous was a last minute addition, really.

This conversation does suggest an interesting idea for a block, where there is lots of lifegain in conjunction with a poison theme.

Another option is to give it a higher poisonous level.

I don't really like stomp, but that is mostly because I have never supported keywording a drawback (except defender).

Sacrament and twincast, however, are really cool.

Gelemar - Well the 1 toughness does not fit at all with the picture. In the pic we see a gigantic monster that would not have a toughness of 1 no matter what regeneration abilities you have on it.

Fronas Ezzen - Really cool interaction with positions. I would like to see the activated ability as an untap. It is a decent size body and it seems a waste to use it to tap for such a small effect. On the flavor side, it makes sense because as the commander he/she would be able to give orders to new positions while in the attack. The sacrament on this is cool too.

Verdana - A lot going on here. It is pretty cool I guess. Don't really get the black ability.

Check out my updated set hub.

Changed the 1 toughness, thinking about it, you're right, that's silly.
Made untap instead, so that he can attack first.
Verdana - black ability came from Mindbreak Trap
