Only looked this over a little bit, but if it were ever resurrected, please count me in.

Anyone consider dumbing it down and making it a "starter" set? With the vanilla theme, it could be a great introduction set for new players. It could be like Portal, only with Dinosaurs.

It is definitely a project I would like to finish (or rehash from the ground up) but I would want to try and finish another one I have first.

Guitar - then good luck with Mirrodin, and when you're done, feel free to necro this one or start a new thread... and reveal in the dinosaur-themed action to come!

I might if styrofoamking doesn't accept me for the norse set, I can't work on more than two at a time.

"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that." George Carlin
"The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog." Mark Twain

Wow, there is a lot of interest here then?! Let me look through the concepts and get back. There were some specific reasons that I was thinking about a rehash, the fact that the set felt TOO basic being one of them.

Bolas: Sorry, it's SourNote's project, not mine... I'm just very vocal on the thread.

Guitar - a real quick idea hit me in regards to ability vs. non-ability. To have a lot of cards that punish "creatures without abilities" seems a waste...

So, my suggestion: Flicker abilities!

The pro-abilities creatures have a lot of ETB effects. Likewise, red has a lot of Haste. This helps them, but letting their cool abilities activate twice.

However, it hurts Vanillas, because they don't have haste- they come back in dizzy and with summoning sickness.

It's a little more elegant to get the same result.

(Also, the 9 year old in me wants to have dinosaurs in ALL colors... pteradons in blue, anklysauruses in white, etc.)

If you haven't read it already, the Mimeoplasm description piece from Commander describes the different races on the plane of Muraganda:

Character Bio:
Little is known about the bizarre entity that crawls the world of Muraganda. The fang druids call it the Mimeoplasm, as it absorbs the traits of anything it engulfs. The saurid warriors of the south seek out the Mimeoplasm wherever it roams, believing it to be the key to a mysterious afterlife, hoping to see in it traces of their fallen loved ones. The elves of the tropics believe it to be part of nature's cycle, a way to channel death back into life. The scarwitches hiss when it approaches, seeing it as the ultimate enemy of the world. Whether it's a natural process or a malevolent force, the Mimeoplasm never fails to command respect.
