Printout Order

Hello,
I am a new user of the software. I am not using it for MTG or any of the CCGs out there but for D&D 4th edition Power Cards. As such as supplements come out new powers will be released that will need to be inserted into the sets we have. For instance this month there will be a book come out that will have a number of new powers and lets say the Fighter class has a new 1st level power. If I add the power to the list it would be added to end end of the set and when I generate a printout it would not be with the rest of the 1st level cards. How can I either reorder the cards or how can I set up a printout based on some other ordering than the default one?

Can anyone help me with

Can anyone help me with this? I am really wanting to find the best way to use this software. If my issue is confusing I am happy to try and rephrase it or answer questions about what I am trying to do and what problems I am having.

In using the template you're

In using the template you're talking about it sorts properly. You probably just need to click the # column so that it sorts by card number and not name. If that isn't the culprit, please post a screencap or more info about the problem.

As you can see the order in

As you can see the order in card number order is not in order by level of the power. Should a power in a new source come out it would be added to the end of the list and not placed in level order (if I understand how the program generates the card numbers since there is no editable field for them). When I generate a printout the program disregards any sorting I have done in the window and sorts by the same thing all the time. I am wanting to find out how to change this. I would like to be able to dictate to the program what it should use to sort the cards for printout.

In order to do what you're

There doesn't seem to be a way to do what you're wanting, other than to actually create the cards in that order.

The program prints the cards

The program prints the cards in the same order they appear in the card list when it is not sorted. When the list is not sorted (by clicking the same column again two times) you can drag cards around to change this order.

In the future I will change the order to correspond to the order in which the cards appear in the sorted card list, since that is what people expect.

I just want to take a moment to note that this doesn't work for me currently; even if I reorder the set by dragging, they continue to print in the order in which they were created.

I believe they ALWAYS print

I believe they ALWAYS print in the 'internal numbering' order, which is the order the cards were created, the order of the collection returned by 'set.cards'

One thing that I did was to

One thing that I did was to simply, once the set was finished, was to simply copy/paste the cards into a new set, using the order that you're looking for, then they simply print accordingly.

Sets currently working on:
Causality (Sept '09) - Final testing
Relativity (Jan '10) - Initial design
Timescape (Apr '10) - Initial design
Refraction (Sept '10) - Concept design
Convergence (Jan '11)
