@Gurfle: Don't feel petty, I appreciate pointing out my mistakes. Also, just to try to help you out with your wording again, the card I referenced when making those suggestions was Pull from Eternity. Also, WB zombies fit your card, so if you like it that way, you should keep it I think.

@Fermat: Not having basic or Plains isn't something that's taken into account when talking about lands being strictly better basics; and rarity definitely isn't.

@Herzi: Thanks for the feedback. I rarely make lands so balance is a big hurdle for me. Would entering the battlefield tapped or making it legendary help balance it out?

@HerziQuerzi & Fermat: My input would be to make the land Legendary. That should be all that needs done as I found at least 13 lands that could be considered "strictly better" by Fermat's standards, and each of them were Legendary. (There are also the 5 artifact lands and one outlying, non-legendary land that I believe would qualify in River of Tears) I would like to add that in order for a land to be "strictly better" than a basic mountain/swamp/plains/etc. it would indeed have to be both "Basic" and have at least one basic land type (plains/swamp/forest/etc.). Reason being is that in order for a card to truly be strictly better than something, there needs to be almost zero reason to use the other version of the card instead. I would argue that without this card being "Basic" and having a basic land type, it cannot be searched up by cards like Evolving Wilds and/or Wooded Foothills, etc. Also there are cards like Ruination and Rampant Growth or cards like Skyshroud Claim and Knight of Reliquary... The list goes on. TL;DR: @Fermat: Your land is not strictly better than a Plains, but to conform with similar cards, it should be Legendary.

@Kajarak32: Funnily enough, I made an edit just as you made this post. I didn't make it legendary, but I instead made it add Colorless mana symbol. Additionally, I made the activation cost purely generic and lowered the stats of the resulting equipment. I don't have MSE available at the moment, so I'll have to use text for now.

I did this card back in 2015 for a series of 31 Commanders that I haven't finished yet, but might still finish in the future. I think I could enter it here.

Spoiler:

My colors: Freedom (Red mana symbol) through Knowledge (Blue mana symbol) and Organization (White mana symbol).

@Vulgard: Not necessarily. The backside is an artifact, and those often aren't colored - plus, there's quite a tradition of DFCs changing colors from one face to another (Elbrus into Withengar, Cloistered Youth into Unholy Fiend), Town Gossipmonger into Incited Rabble).

@one1eye1, lands don't need a color indicator, as they're intrinsically colorless. Their "color" is decided by what mana they can produce, so you'd probably want to give it a hybrid White/blue mana symbol border/frame though, seeing how it can produce both. Also, keywords don't need to be capitalized after the first (so it would be "Defender, reach").

@One1Eye1: Your entry is just about the opposite of mine . A few points though: 1. This card is basically land ramp in W/U which seems weird. 2. The land it becomes is an extremely good land. 3. The creature side is basically an undefeatable blocker. Overall, I think this card is overpowered and out-of-color due to the land ramp.

@Wapulatus: First, it should say "Creatures you control have deathtouch" instead of "gain." Second, you should specify "Whenever a nontoken creature you control dies..." because right now, it allows for an infinite combo with any sac outlet.

This idea is something I'm fiddling with in a set idea i'm fiddling with that intends to be entirely flip cards. ( very much still in concept at this point. only have 1 cycle.)
as such it can still be considered a WIP.
Constructive feedback appreciated, especially for the wording on the first side. not sure if I've got it right yet.

Edit: Altered wording for transformation and capabilities to better suit.

Thanks @ Vunik for the advices.
@ Kajark 32: yes, that was my intention to a certain degree. I like the creature-land duo. You are right, the land is clearly op, and so is the blocking mechanism. But i have to leave it like it is for now.

@Touhoufanatic: Nice Idea. But, isn't it "Then put Mirrored Hope onto the battlefield transformed and tapped."? Also, it could just be a normal enchantement, that says: "When ~ enters the battlefield, transform two target ...".

@touhou Perhaps a cause in the text such as "if ~ would be put in to a graveyard after being cast, put it on the battlefield transformed instead"?

@one1eye1 You still need your land to have a hybrid Green/wite mana symbol border. The default land frame is only used for lands that produce colorless or don't have a mana ability.

@Fermat: The Stoneforged Blade token that you're referencing is itself indestructible, and also gives the equipped creature first strike. The token also has Equip 0 mana symbol, so I suggest changing the name of your flip side.

@Mahx Michael: I named it a "granite expanse" to evoke a flat but rocky surface not unlike the Plains from the Zendikar block. Sadly, I couldn't find better image.

@Asthanius: Whoops! My bad. The original design used "Stoneforged Edge" instead. I got it mixed up in my head.

@SilverSoul.SB: I changed it to first strike. You are maybe right. The double strike would only give you double life if the opponent has no creatures, and that feel like win more card then.
