Can someone write a guide on how to properly install Magic Set Editor from the beginning?

All I've got is go to this page:
http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/download

Click on the blue "Magic Set Editor 2" to download the installation file.

Install the file in Program Files.

Go to this page:
http://msetemps.sourceforge.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=144

Scroll down to find "Newest in Magic" and "Magic Update - September 9'th 2015" Click on it.

....

However I am definetely no expert on the matter.

Honestly, if you want a tutorial, it can be summed up in three steps:

1) Download Magic Set Editor 2 installer.
2) Install anywhere that isn't Program Files.
3) Grab a recent template by Pichoro that usually comes bundled with all the major updates he's made to the program.

If you're looking to stay updated to the main sets, Thehuw's keyword update is recommended.

Well, you can install it in programfiles too, but then you need admin access to install templates that doesn't have installer. I've got mine in programfiles, it works fine...

For that reason, I would suggest never installing it in program files.
