Most standard MtG card templates (I.e. Modern, M15) should let you click on the black border to change it to black, gold, silver, or a custom color by default. Are you using a special template of some kind?

Updated entry:

Colossal Antlion 4 mana symbolGreen mana symbolWhite mana symbol
Creature - Insect Rare
Colossal Antlion can’t attack or block unless it has a +1/+1 counter on it.
Whenever one or more creatures attacks you or a planeswalker you control, you may exile target attacking creature. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on Colossal Antlion.
1/5

Updated syntax. Removed "until ~ leaves the battlefield clause." Because there's already a drawback, and such drawbacks reduce the cost. See: Slumbering Dragon, although that takes longer to "wake up" than it takes Colossal Antlion to "surface," there's a difference in power to consider as well. So I think it could use the extra power of completely removing the attacking creature, furthermore it just makes more sense that if you're eaten alive by a giant bug, you're gone for good.

It's 30 minutes past midnight, I should really go to sleep, and this card is probably busted. Two dudes for cheap that talk past each other when it comes to game plan. For when you want to trade out your infect deck for Abzan midrange but only get halfway.

I may change my entry at the last minute, but I haven't decided yet. Not asking if this is better than my previous entry, just looking for input on it.

@Leviathan: That's busted. Like, it basically reads "players can't really play with lands". Mostly just very unfun. Maybe consider taking out the last three words?

Entry is updated with render. I kind of wanted to make this my entry, but I don't think it would fit the contest since orange mana isn't really a thing...

This creature has features of the 3 masticore cards, it has a discard ability, in this case fueling its modernized regen.
It the same converted mana cost as razormane masticore but the power and toughness of the other two.
It does 2 damage, filling in the masticores damage numbers do 1, 3 and 4.
It uses the molten tails exile a creature card cost to give it flying, an ode to the sawback Manticore, who also does 2 damage.

@Mahx: that could be your entry, but you'd need both of its transformations to match the Origins "sparkers" templating of exiling, then returning to the battlefield transformed under its owner's control (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&set=+["Magic%20Origins"]&text=+["battlefield%20transformed"]), otherwise the counter-placing abilities mean nothing beyond the turn it's played.

@sdfkjgh
Why is that? It is the same card type before and after the transformation. Wherewolves are not exiled when transforming...
