Fiendish Plan looks quite clever (although it could backfire in a mirror match). Well done!

@ Neo: Not necessarily. Note that only YOU get the tokens, regardless of whose Nephilim were destroyed. In a mirror, suddenly you've got a buttload of tokens... Though I suppose if they had Pride out it would kill them off anyway with Curse of Hubris.

I think I should point out that Pride could probably cost 3 mana symbolBlack mana symbolRed mana symbol and still be perfectly balanced. The color density isn't really necessary here, IMO.
Also, this is just me, but some more similarity between the curse and creature would be more elegant, but that's a minor quip.

The Schism
Zuklena planeswalked again. She loved this feeling. The air of all these different worlds, it... Freed her. Then she felt it. That familiar tugging sensation. She groaned and planeswalked back to Taviezal. As she made it there, the familiar crashing thundering noise greeted her. Her features warped and twisted, into the grim silhouette of a wolf. She could feel that familiar spark inside of her... die.

That transform condition looks really, really narrow. Consequentially, it makes the planeswalker side look a bit weak; something that requires a few hoops to function should be above curve a bit more.

Yeah. I was thinking about changing the thing to care about all Werewolves, not just yours, but that would be a bit much.

I think you could probably make it care about all werewolves, but increase the damage dealt requirement, restrict the damage to being on creatures and/or give the ability a cost?

As-is it means your opponent needs to control at least six creatures to feasibly transform.

And now a riddle spoiler (though not a very hard one).

What do these two cards have in common?

The first person to guess correctly gets to spoil the set's next planeswalker!

They both come from the original Ravnica block, and they both feature Bougrat, druid of the Cult of Yore in their flavour text.

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

The following spoiler contains mentions of suicide. The card is in the second spoiler box.

It was when the narcissistic dragon tyrant destroyed two of the five gods that I began to suspect Ravnica's irredeemability. But when the last fell, I knew it for certain. Ravnica is a mad world, killing its own mother for vanity and childish rebellion. I remember when my shame for having been born in it reached its peak, and I flung myself from the spires...

...and when I awoke, I was here. And I saw what the locals called 'Nephilim'.

At first, I was blind and deaf. I thought that they were but mockeries of the absolute divinity of the Ravnican gods. But then, I saw the truth. It was the Ravnican Nephilim who hadn't been worthy of worship. They'd been killed by a dragon and an imp, they must have been the mockeries! Now, here, in Taviezal, I have finally found the true gods! The true Nephilim!

Shrines

And now, what you've all been waiting for, presumably! Only one shrine has been showcased so far, and I thought it was time to change that.

Bougrat seems a lot more Black mana symbolGreen mana symbol than Red mana symbolGreen mana symbol, especially that exclusive tutor that damages you. Maybe if the tutor made you discard a card after you searched, it'd feel more Red mana symbol? Also not that comfortable with such a powerful -4 Loyalty.

Thujiquel could probably do more on the front face and/or have flavor text. The third part of the curse really scares me; the curse becomes near-impossible to get rid of.

The cycle of shrines seems a bit weird, since you have to commit to three-colored decks to get use out of them and the effects are quite weak alone. I'd suggest making the White mana symbolBlack mana symbol one +2/+0 and the White mana symbolBlue mana symbol one +0/+2 as well as making the Black mana symbolRed mana symbol one cost 1 mana symbolBlack mana symbolRed mana symbol. The Green mana symbolBlue mana symbol one could perhaps be something along the lines of becoming a 1/1 with flying that gets +1/+1 for each Shrine you control.

Ah, good to know. Shrine statements retracted

The point about the green/blue one as well as the other cards stand, though.

All right, its time to spoil all the tokens. Some you've seen what makes them already (Zuklena with werewolves and Fiendish Plan with horrors) but some, not so much.

Multicolored tokens use the hybrid frame since it's easier to tell what their colors are that way.
As for Circe, I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a way to transform her(?) but oh well.

Circe makes me a bit uncomfortable, as it gives Blue mana symbol or Green mana symbol a way to break the color pie via the middle abilities. I'd suggest having a cost to the middle ability (Then you may pay <color>. If you do, transform Circe....

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOWIE!! THe flavour is ripe!
I'm not a fan of transform cards, never have been. However, I really like what youve done with virtue counters.
I do like the cursed mechanic too!
Interesting that we both like the shrines of Kamigawa. The transform mechanic si a great design space for the return of curses, as was seen with that witch card in innistrad. Do you have ways of makign curses matter? I mean in addition to them simply existign and doing their effects. (creatures or spells that care about curses etc.)
what is a fan spoiler?

Wish there was an upvote/downvote system on this website so I could hack in a mega-upvote button to smack for this set.

Please ignore the clearly insane electrical engineer behind the instrument panel. His meds won't wear off until Thur- it's Friday?? Already?! Oh dear.

I think this card is a very good example of how not to design your archetype enablers. Note that I am saying "this card" singular, because there is only one card here.

Noggle Whip-and-Neigh-Neigher Blue mana symbolRed mana symbol
Creature - Noggle Uncommon
Whenever a Noggle enters the battlefield under your control, you get a carrot.
2/2

This is a card which tells you: "run Noggles!" Unfortunately, it does not encourage any coherent plan of attack other than to run lots of Noggles so you can get as many carrots as possible. Is the Noggle deck aggressive or controlling? Does it go wide or is it more of a Voltron thing? Compare Origins, which had cards which wanted you to lavish attention upon them (Blood-Cursed Knight and Iroas's Champion) and cards which preferred to be present Reclusive Artificer and Shaman of the Pack. What these cards tell me is that the White mana symbolBlue mana symbol Angels deck should... run White mana symbolBlue mana symbol Angels. That's very obvious, and also very bad for draft, because once you have your colors picked out the draft runs on autopilot, just grab stuff of the relevant tribe whenever possible.

There's also the very real problem that these cards are very strong if you get them out on-curve and very bad otherwise. At today's Hour of Devastation prerelease, Binding Mummy was awesome turn 2 when it tapped down your opponent's blockers for the next five turns and less awesome late-game where it was just a bear with occasional upside.

[center]"It's exciting to create something that demonstrates how clever you are, that you pushed in a direction that players didn't anticipate. The problem is that the point of game design isn't to be clever, it's to create a great game." --Mark Rosewater

All right, I see what you're getting at here. I've retooled the cards to cost a bit more but to also not be so narrow in their focus.

After re-examining this old set of mine, it is clear that a large number of the cards need to be reworked. Therefore, this set is going on hiatus until further notice.
