There's an odd problem/glitch with the Win9x patch. Text sometimes gets a bit messed up, such as strange black marks appearing if the card type goes beyond the limit, and when using colorless mana symbols in the text box. 2.5 is much clearer than 2.4 was, but it's still a bit glitchy in this regard.

I have heard of this before. This bug is located in several places in the program, I hope I have fixed all of them now. Could you try the fixed prerelease version to see if any problems remain? And if you find any problems could you post screenshots?

Note: This version is a prerelease of 0.2.6, there may be some new bugs, and keywords may behave slightly different.

From what I can tell, that version completely fixed all of the strange text glitch problems.

It also fixed a problem I had with loading images. Often, if the image was of a certain size (too small or too big) the program would crash. I just checked, though, and a couple of images that have been known to crash the program didn't crash it.

EDIT: It hasn't entirely fixed the crashing images problem, but it seems to have helped a bit.

I haven't checked on the keywords, since I generally don't use that feature myself, so I'm not exactly sure what to look for.

Twanvl,
So what's the word with this prerelease version? Should we download and give it a shot? Treat it like an update? Or something else?

You shouldn't download it. First of all, it is a 9x version, secondly, it will probably break some keyword things if you don't also use new game files.

Maybe it is time for a new official release. Only I'm behind on the template updates I promised for the 'next release'. But there since there are at least three serious bugs in 0.2.5 I could call it a bugfix release... I'll see if I can get it done today.

Edit: Done

Looks like I can now delete that last entry in FAQ!

Since I downloaded the prerelease patch you sent me (thanks, btw), should I go ahead and download the latest version or do I pretty much have it already?

They are the same (only the prerelease version still calls itself 0.2.5 somewhere). The official release also has updated templates, in particular for the keywords.
